Being injured doesn’t have to mean falling behind
Being sidelined with an injury can be devastating. You might be dealing with pain or coming back from an injury and are worried about getting re-injured. There may be a level of uncertainty surrounding when you can go back, how much you will miss, or whether you will fall behind. You may wonder whether you’ll compete at the same level when you return and what that means for your career or recruiting. Oftentimes athletes find themselves performing at a much more limited capacity than prior to their injury.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
At Versatile Athlete PT, we help athletes recover as safely and efficiently as possible while building their confidence along the way. Injured athletes don’t need to “just rest” - we’ll guide you each step of the way until you’re fully back to sport, STRONGER than you were prior to injury.
The Process: From Injury to Game Day
Step 1: Plan
Following a generic plan will only get you so far. Athletes need rehab tailored specifically to their body, sport, and goals. We take the time to listen to your story and create a custom plan for your injury. From getting back to practice, playing in games, or preparing for the next level, we help you get there.
Step 2: Rehab
Oftentimes general PT clinics mainly work with older populations recovering from hip or knee replacements. Our clinic specializes in athletic populations and the return to sport process. Our late stage rehab will look very similar to a hard training session, practicing the movements you need to feel confident when stepping on the field.
Step 3: Perform
Gradually returning to activity allows for the body to adapt to stresses without spiking pain and being forced to rest again. You will be guided on this exact process. The end goal is a full recovery where you can focus on the game and not your injury!

What other athletes are saying
- Kiara R.
Bethesda Soccer Club
I’ve gone through different PT because of different injuries in the past years, but Kristine has been the best! I was going through the beginning of a post-op ACL rehab and now I’m back to playing my sport after a little over 9 months and have never felt better!
- Jack. M
Colombia Men’s Soccer
Kristine is a terrific physical therapist who has really helped me recover from a hamstring injury and prepared me for my last D1 college soccer season. I really liked how during each session she incorporated different exercises.
- Alexa W.
Virginia Tech Diver
Dr. Sweezey is the best PT I’ve worked with. As a D1 college athlete, I have struggled my entire career even as a club level diver with shoulder instability and range of motion. I could never get my arms over my head but within a few sessions I had more mobility than ever before.
